I called Tony Kart and was told over the phone that it would be too much of a hassle to do it. He asked what model i had and i said racer st v2, his reply was that it would be under 4 years old. needless to say i don't bother calling them anymore!! mayeb i should have spent my hard earned on a Arrow or Top kart!! at least i would have the support i need. I dont go to the committee meetings anymore as they just do my head in. Have you heard if there is any progression on finding a new track yet. so Im giving up and moving into town and signing up for the dole. I was hoping we would have one by now but its been almost 5 years since they turned my office into a kiddies school. Starting a kart business 6 months before the Gold Coast track was taken from us, was not a good idea.
The Club was aware years before it was resumed for a school in Feb.2008 so why wasn't something done. As no reason was forthcoming I can only surmise it was because I was asking difficult questions about why 4 years after the track was sold (resumed) we did not even have land with approval to build a track. I must be the only person in history to have a Membership Application of this Club rejected. My Application to join earlier this year was REJECTED. I would be the last person to ask about the Gold Coast Kart Club. I'm surprised you got an answer at all from Tony Kart Australia, I rang them about 2 months ago and was told they couldnt be bothered to find out the age of my chassis.
Look at the job Steve Johnson is doing for Arrow on this forum, thats how it should be done. Cant be bothered helping them and you will never get their business. Do the right thing for the consumer and you may have a new customer. Even if that consumer has never brought anything from that business. In this day and age when people are being very frugal on what they spend their disposable income on, you would think that any business would try to find out an answer for a consumer. Nick, It took a follow up email the next day to get a response from Tony Kart Australia & 3 days later I am still waiting for the answer from them.
to DPE by email & had a response the same day (it was a K2000, made 10/2001). Daniel,I bought an old Arrow last year to restore.It was sold to me as an AX6.
